Events & Classes
     Lake Street has exciting events all year round! We offer educational classes, hands-on workshops, demonstrations and store-wide public events. This page is always updated with our most recent event information.
     Please register for all classes/workshops, as space is limited. Public events such as Open House or Salem Farmer's Market do not need pre-registration. To register for events, click the appropriate links below or call (603)893-5858.
     MOST CLASSES ARE FREE minus supply fees for certain workshops where noted. Again, please register for all classes/workshops as space is limited.

Timely Gardening Tips that will regularly occur the first Saturday of each month. These classes will discuss and explain what should be done within your garden every month as the month progresses.

NECPS: Carnivorous Plant Show
The award winning New England Carnivorous Plant Society (NECPS) for the first time will be hosting its Pre-Fall Carnivorous Plant Show at the Lake Street Garden Center!

Plant lovers and all those who enjoy something different will be able to get up close to hundreds of carnivorous plants exhibited by the members of the NECPS. Featured plants will include pitcher plants from Malaysia with traps the size of softballs that are capable of eating lizards and mice. There will also be sundews from Australia ranging from the size of a dime to 12+ inches high and the ever-popular Venus Fly trap. For you native plant lovers, NECPS will also display carnivorous plants that grow locally throughout New England.
